Reading
I first started collecting in 2001 when my father brought me back three pens from the USA The pens were colourful and very interesting I liked to try to read the English words on them At first I had a lot more pens from the USA than any other country but that changed when I got a pen friend from Japan My pen friend sent me lots of Japanese pens and also some stickers Soon I had more stickers than pens and I decided to collect stickers too
These days I don’t collect pens and stickers anymore Now I collect sweet wrappers and figurines I like collecting these things because they are cheap and easy to collect My friends bring me sweet wrappers back from holiday You have to pay for figurines but they are not too expensive
I’m not sure what I’ll collect next I’m interested in collecting Coke bottles but I think it may be hard to find different ones If I don’t collect Coke bottles I may start collecting football trading cards as I’m very interested in football
My Collecting
I first started collecting when I was four I collected McDonald’s toys I started this collection because I often went to McDonald’s after kindergarten finished Later when I went to primary school I collected different types of stationery I collected pens pencils and rubbers I started collecting these things because my friends collected them
These days I collect model food and animal figurines I started these collections after my best friend bought me some back from Japan I have thirty bits of model food and twenty animal figurines I like collecting these things because they are small and cute I like arranging them next to my computer and looking at them while I work The item I like best is a small cow from Switzerland It is made of metal My pen friend sent it to me last week
I’m not sure what I’ll collect next I think I’ll collect stamps I’m interested in stamps because I like to find out about other countries
